Monday! I'm pretty excited about this week. The weekend was fairly uneventful (except for one really, really exciting thing) - I had a great bubble bath, though, and I did finish a book I'd started. Had dinner with Isane on Saturday, then we went back to my apartment. She cleaned and I ~~drank~~ helped. Poor Isane - she's still scared of "Mr. Python".

I am a little worried about him. He's looking a bit sickly. (Do snakes get scale rot?) If he's not better soon I'll take him to the vet. I know he doesn't like the winter, but I did just get a new bulb for his heat lamp.

I like the snow; and winter gives me a chance to wear my big fluffy coat. Sentarou said I look like a stupid blue marshmellow, but he looks stupid all the time any way so at least I can be warm when I look stupid. If I look stupid at all - which I DON'T.

I'm so happy! I was out shopping yesterday and I accidentally ran into somebody in the cereal aisle. I was going to yell at him for making me drop my bag of potato chips when he turned and smiled and picked them up for me! He was cute - really, really cute. Not as dignified as Ukitake-sama, of course, but he was very nice looking (though his smile wasn't as kind and his eyes didn't really have that... sparkle). We talked and he asked for my phone number. I hope he calls sometime this week! I'd like to have a boyfriend - instead of wishing one of these dumb guys at work would ask me out.

I am really worried about Jyuushirou, though. He is the only pet I've got, even if he is a snake. I'll bet Sentarou is scared of snakes; they're maligned creatures, really, and I don't see what's so great about dogs and fluffy animals anyway. (My landlord is allergic so I can't have anything with fur.)

He's my pet ball python! I call him Mr. Python. Or, um... Steve.

It's fine, really! Well, my landlord is allergic to just about everything, so I can't have an animal with fur.

I'd like a puppy, though - everybody says I'm a dog person.

Oh.. Ah, that is an acceptable compromise, if you like snakes..

I guess so. I don't mind snakes - they're actually almost kind of cute! At least Mr. Python is...

...I thought it was a good thing, but now I'm wondering if that just means I'm loyal and kind of yappy.

Ah, I don't believe there is anything wrong with being loyal, and many dogs aren't that yappy?

Slimey?! Snakes are not slimey. They slither, but they have scales - not any slime or anything.

I suppose being loyal is good... And I'm certainly not yappy. So you're right, Kira-san - I guess I am like a dog! In a good way, of course.

Well... your sisters were wrong. You'd like Mr. Python! He's very well behaved - better than most other snakes, I bet.

And yes - people do usually like dogs! I guess that means people should like me... And they do! ~~Except when I yell...~~
